Mercedes-Benz Casting

Hey guys two weeks ago Michele and I were invited to have a sneak and peak at the Casting for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days Zürich. I’ve been at the shows and backstage many times but I’ve never been to the model casting’s before. It was exciting to see what that’s like, especially since a friend of mine was actually applying for the casting. Sadly she didn’t get in, but the model business is hard as most of you probably know. Roger Sery who also cast all the models for Berlin Fashion Week got flown in to cast all the swiss models.
Roger later told me that he already picked a hand full of international  models from all over the world and only selects the best swiss models for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days Zürich

I also had a chance to talk to Fabian Pfenniner one of the most successful male models from Switzerland. He told me about this travels all around the world, and how he hates model home’s and how lucky he is to have friends he can stay with during fashion week. He’s favorite part about modeling is doing shows. He loves the atmosphere before the show’s, hair, makeup, backstage buffets and getting to know people while waiting, and than having an adrenaline rush trough his blood just before he walks down the catwalk.
