Day 1: Was rainy which was a coincidence but we were very happy about it, because it fits perfect to the melancholic mood we wanted. We took all the shoots of her singing alone. which had to be synchronized with the music afterwards. Not to easy to have the lip movement fit the text of the song.
Day 2: We took all the shots with the “boyfriend”. Getting different takes of them being happy together and also filming the last part when the boyfriend leaves to the train station and she runs after him.
Day 3. We took the shoots of her singing the finished song on stage. So we had to find a stage and stage lights to take those shoots. You won’t believe how small and crappy the stage – if you even can call it a stage- really was. But the right light can really make a big difference.
It took me quite some time to finish editing this video. I have to say I didn’t think it would be that time consuming. Kind of underestimate that. But it’s nice to have a product in the end, so you can actually see what you did. So how do you like it?
